Lauren Salazar, mezzo-soprano, is a dynamic and expressive artist whose work bridges opera, musical theater, and concert performance. A performer for more than two decades, she found her love for storytelling through music as a young girl and has built a career shaped by curiosity, resilience, and artistry.
2025/2026 Season Highlights
This fall and winter, Lauren makes her Wichita Grand Opera debut as Consuelo in West Side Story. She is the featured soloist in “Somewhere”, and shortly after will make her way back to Arkansas as a guest artist for Opera in the Ozarks Holiday season, where she will perform as Lucinda in Lucinda y las flores de la Nochebuena. She is the mezzo-soprano soloist in Opera Arlington’s Cafe Americana Concert, and is part of the chorus with Dallas Bach Society’s annual Messiah at the Meyerson Symphony Center. Lauren also appears as the mezzo-soprano soloist in Opera Arlington’s Café Americana Concert, and joins the Dallas Bach Society for their beloved annual performance of Handel’s Messiah at the Meyerson Symphony Center.
